COVID-19 Vaccination - Insurance Update

A few weeks ago, the Benefits department within the Office of Human Resources advised that there was an issue regarding the coverage for COVID-19 vaccinations through health plans nationwide.
Following the rapid deployment of the COVID-19 vaccine, some health insurers had experienced challenges in updating their systems promptly with the necessary coding for this new vaccine. Consequently, this led to rejections in coverage when individuals sought the COVID-19 vaccination from local pharmacies and medical centers.
We want to assure you that our health plan broker has diligently tracked this matter on our behalf, and the issue has been resolved. If you are currently using or planning to use Chapman health plans for the COVID-19 vaccination, you can now proceed with confidence.
