Prepared for Practice
By pairing academic theory with practical skills, our JD experience allows students
to gain valuable, hands-on experience through advocacy competitions, legal clinics
and externships where they have the opportunity to work in the field under the supervision
of practicing attorneys. Our students gain experience in courts, public interest organizations
and government agencies as well as established law frims and in-house legal departments
in corporations.
Thriving Student Life
Outside of the classroom, Fowler School of Law hosts student organizations and scholarly
publications that help students deepen their knowledge of their chosen field while
they prepare for professional life, helping them network with lawyers and scholars
in their fields of interest.
Academic Achievement
Boasting one of the best student-to-faculty ratios (8:1) our faculty is accessible
and involved in student projects, activities and organizations. Our JD training ensures
that all students have access to fantastic resources aimed at fostering academic and
professional success through our Academic Achievement program, this includes:
- One-on-one faculty mentoring
- Undergraduate-to-graduate transition workshops
- Essay writing workshops in the 1L substantive law subjects
- Additional instruction and support from advanced students
Exceptional Bar Exam Preparation
Our exceptional Bar Exam Preparation program is designed to support our students through
one of the toughest bar exams in the country. Our history of exceptional results in
this area (94.96% ultimate bar-passage, Class of 2023) is testament to its efficacy
and the remarkable support our studetns receive from faculty, alumni and each other.

Fowler School of Law students enjoy career support, coaching and development from
