tested their moot court and mock trial skills, taking Chapman Law to its best-ever
finish in the Stetson National Pretrial Competition in Florida, on October 5, 2025,
with a well-earned second-place finish for this promising team.
In a year of unprecedented wins for the school, Chapman University Fowler School
of Law placed second in the American Bar Association’s 2025 Competition Championships.
The wins, places and other achievements of the 2024-2025 school year led to this year’s
outstanding national ranking.

programs from the University of Houston’s Blakely Advocacy Institute, placing Chapman
Moot Court teams in 20th place in the US for the 2024/25 season.
Promising 1L advocates Daniel Kyle and Sara Seyedebrahimi appeared before classmates,
sitting judges, faculty, friends, and family yesterday in the exhibition round of
the annual Fowler School of Law Rutan & Tucker, LLP Golden Gavel competition.
Over the weekend, 3Ls Sophie Jeltema and Megan Campbell took a well-earned second
place in the nation at the National Appellate Advocacy Competition (NAAC) Finals in
Chicago. This is an incredible result for the school and a fitting conclusion for
these talented advocates–not only did they clinch second place, but they also took
home Third Place Best Brief for good measure.
