Although Chapman University’s main campus in Orange has some on-campus housing, the majority of the space is dedicated to undergraduate students. Public TransportationThe majority of law students typically commute to the Law School in their private vehicles. Student parking is available in the parking structure located directly behind Kennedy Hall. However, you may wish to consider alternative forms of transportation. For public transportation information, including schedules and fares, please contact:Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) Metrolink Train System Amtrak Train Apartment Sharing (Roommates)Orange County, like other metropolitan areas in Southern California, can be an expensive place to live depending on your personal tastes and needs. The average (approximated) monthly rent ranges from $700 to $900 for apartments, $1200 to $1800 for houses, and $300 to $600 for rooms to rent. Sharing the cost of rent and utilities may offer the advantage of reducing your personal cost of living expenses. The Office of Admissions has an off-campus roommate form that is available upon request at (877) CHAPLAW. The roommate contact form authorizes the Office of Admissions to release your contact information to other admitted law students. However, each student is personally responsible for initiating contact with any potential roommates. Rental SourcesCurrent law students have reported that their key resources for finding housing have been the classified section of local newspapers, such as the Orange County Register or the Times- Orange County edition.
