Abby Atchison

Graduate Student in Computational and Data Sciences

M.S. in Computational and Data Sciences, 2019

B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Data Analytics, 2018

Abby's internships included software engineering internships with Amazon, Microsoft, and the Center for Autism and Related Disorders. She is a member of the Machine Learning and Assistive Technologies (MLAT) Lab. Post-graduation, she has a job lined up as a software engineer for Microsoft.

Amy Lam

Senior

B.S. in Physics with a minor in Chemistry

Amy spent last summer doing a Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory at Stanford. She is a member of the Catalysis Research Lab (CatLab).

Daisy Haas

Sophomore

B.S. Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with a minor in Rhetoric and Writing

Last summer, Daisy interned with the Immunology Department of Molecular Imaging and Therapy at City of Hope. She is a member of Women in Science and Technology, STEMtors, Schmid Student Leadership Council, and co-president of American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology student chapter. An active member of the Grand Challenges Initiative, her team's project is dialogue-focused science communication.

Vidal Arroyo

Senior

B.S. Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Computational Sciences

Vidal's internships include Children's Hospital of Orange County - Medical Intelligence and Innovations Institute (MI3) and two summers at the Lupo Lab at the Baylor College of Medicine. He is the founder and president of Chapman STEMtors, Vice President of Chapman's Mortar Board, an active member of the Tutoring, Learning, and Testing Center Advisory Board, and the Biochemistry peer advisor. He is also a Rhodes Scholar finalist.

Jenny Gritton

Senior

B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy, with a minor in Psychology

University Honors Program

Jenny has interned at Earth Friendly Products in Cypress, California, the Central Utah Water Conservancy District, and the New Zealand Green Building Council in Auckland, New Zealand through the Center for Global Education. She is a Chapman Ambassador, a member of the Schmid Student Leadership Council, Order of Omega, and Alpha Gamma Delta. On-campus, she also works as the Environmental Science & Policy peer advisor and an American Sign Language tutor.

Daniel Chang

Senior

B.S. in Chemistry, with a minor in Computational Science

Daniel is the lab manager for Professor de Bruyn's Lab (Analytical Chemistry) and is an undergraduate researcher in Organic and Organometallic Chemistry with Professors Justin O’Neill and Allegra-Liberman Martin. He is the Chemistry program peer advisor, a Student Scholar Ambassador for the Chapman Center for Undergraduate Excellence, and an academic coordinator for the American Chemical Society, Chapman student chapter.
