Dr. Véronique Olivier Assistant Professor of French
Dr. Véronique Olivier is an assistant professor of French in the Department of Languages. In 2003, she earned her Ph.D. in French at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. After receiving an outstanding teaching award as a Teaching Assistant in 2001, she was also the recipient of a university wide research fellowship by the University of Wisconsin. She has served as the House Director of the French House in Madison for three consecutive years. She is now working on an introductory French language book pursuing her research on French women writers in the aftermath of the Revolution. As a member of the Eighteenth Century Society, she has recently presented papers on female presence and authority in the French Salon. Dr. Olivier is also working on a book project about Mme de Stael. Courses Taught at Chapman:
