Theater in Spanish

Every semester students in the Spanish program are given the opportunity to see theater in Spanish. Trips are organized to Los Angeles to see classical or modern plays in Spanish.

	Bilingual Foundation of the Arts The Foundation’s well known team producers are Carmen Zapata, Margarita Galbán and Estela Scarlata. Some offerings in the past have included: La Celestina (Fernando de Rojas), Bodas de sangre, La casa de Bernarda Alba, and La zapatera prodigiosa. (García Lorca).
	Frida Kahlo Theatre The Frida Kahlo theatre is centrally located in downtown Los Angeles and has a display of Frida Kahlo’s artwork and life. It serves as both a museum of Frida's work and life as well as a venue for theatrical productions. Some offerings in the past have included: To Be Frida Kahlo and The Women of Juarez (Rubén Amavisca). For more information contact: Dr. Polly Hodge
