National Patent & Trademark Director is Keynote at Chapman's International IP Symposium
April 19, 2007 -- The School of Law hosted the 3rd Annual Global Trade Symposium at Kennedy Hall, addressing "Recent Developments and Future Trends in International Intellectual Property." The event featured an impressive list of visiting scholars and experts, with a keynote address by Jon W. Dudas, U.S. Undersecretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The symposium was sponsored by Knobbe Martens Olsen & Bear LLP.
The law school's student Intellectual Property Society joined the keynote lunch, having an opportunity to meet Director Dudas and mingle with the visiting IP practitioners. The following topics were covered at the all-day event:
