Study Abroad

“Study abroad can be worked into most programs of study at Chapman University if you plan accordingly.”
--Chapman University Study Abroad Office Brochure
The key word in the Study Abroad passage above is plan. Since students routinely identify participation in study abroad programs as one of the most rewarding and life-changing experiences of their undergraduate years, you should begin thinking now about how a semester in another country can be part of your academic program.

You can begin by visiting the web site for Chapman’s Center for Global Education. Two links are especially useful:

  • Travel Courses gives you information about single Interterm, summer, and other courses abroad—a great introduction to studying outside the U.S.
  • Study Abroad takes you to the detailed information offered by the Study Abroad Office, including what, where, and how to do it. You should visit that page’s Student Journals site, too, to get first-hand reports from students who studied in such places as Japan, Scotland, Costa Rica . . . .
