The following students have shared their comments on some recent and upcoming study abroad experiences: Krista Johnson, a 2005 Chapman graduate, just returned from a semester in South Africa. Krista, a Peace Studies major, studied reconciliation and development. Check out the e-mails she sent to friends and faculty chronicling her time and projects there. Shalani Lusk, a Chapman junior, will be in Bombay this summer to work with Majlis, a legal rights and community organizing center working on women’s rights. Read a collection of e-mails of Shalani. Ellen Dienger spent a term in Granada, learned a lot of Spanish, and had a memorable 21st birthday. In Nicaragua, Tiffany Crain learned about rural life and worked to improve conditions for women.
