What is Sociology?

Sociology brings the liberal arts together with skills, insights, and methods that allow students to apply their bachelors degree in professional pursuits. Any career that deals with people or communities is strengthened with an understanding of how society works.

Those pursuing careers in law, medicine, government, education, urban planning, criminal justice, human resource management, corporate management, marketing, humanities, and social work need these skills.

The Chapman Sociology Major strongly prepares students for graduate school and success in the workplace.
