Nick Larsen (Ph.D., University of Manitoba) is an Associate Professor of Sociology.  His areas of interest include social control, deviant behavior, comparative social control, global criminology, criminal justice and law and society.  He also teaches graduate courses in the Masters program in Criminal Justice housed in University College.  Dr. Larsen's research to date has focused primarily on prostitution control, violence in prisons and comparative law and social control.  His recent publications include Global Criminology (Broadview Press, Toronto, 2008) and Law and Society (Nelson, Canada, Toronto, 2006).
