Robert Buranello
B.A., M.A., University of Toronto; Ph.D. University of Toronto, Erindale College Robert Buranello joined the Department of Languages at Chapman University in 2008 as an Associate Professor and Italian Studies Section Head with the Paul & Marybelle Musco Professorship in Italian Studies. He received his Ph.D. in Italian Studies with from the University of Toronto in 1999. He has taught at the The City University of New York, Georgetown University, and the University of Cape Town. He was Distinguished Visiting Professor at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa. His research interests are in the field of Italian Renaissance literature, from the early Quattrocento to the Seicento, with publications spanning Leonardo Bruni to Ferrante Pallavicino. He has also published on the literature of Italian immigration to the United States, Canada, and South Africa. |
