Housing Options for Undergraduate Students

Chapman University offers several housing options for undergraduate students including four residence halls, two apartment communities and university owned houses.

Different student populations have different housing options to choose from. For example, first year freshman will live in a building exclusively designated for first year students. These student populations are defined as follows:

First Year Students
Any student who is beginning their college career at Chapman University as a first year freshman without having attended any other secondary education institutions.

Tranfer Students
Any student who is beginning at Chapman University with previously completed college credits.

Continuing Students
Any student who is already an established, enrolled student at Chapman University. This may include students who have previously attended Chapman, but have a break in their enrollment due to a leave of absence or study abroad. The term "continuing" student will mostly relate to continuously enrolled sophomores, juniors and seniors.

By using the links at the left, you will be guided through the various living areas that Chapman University has to offer for first year, transfer and continuing students. Through your exploration you will find photos, floor plans and descriptions of each of our residence hall and apartment communities.

Please note that all housing options for undergraduate students are co-ed. While students will be assigned to roommates and suitemates (if applicable) of the same legal sex, there may be a room or suite of female students living adjacent to a room or suite of male students.

In addition, all housing options that Chapman University has to offer are smoke-free environments.
