Information about the
The Tijuana Orphanage trip has been a yearly tradition for the Office of Service-Learning over the past ten years. Forty Chapman students take a bus to the City of Angels Orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. Students play games, do art projects, and spend time with the children, while cleaning and doing repairs for orphanage staff. Students also take part in mandatory pre-departure meetings where they receive logistical and educational information about the trip. Emphasis is placed on learning and reflection so that students understand historical, social, and cultural context surrounding Tijuana orphanages. |
