What is the Panther Line?
Named after our mascot, the Panther Line is a program which employs 30 Chapman students who are dedicated to reconnecting University affiliates with Chapman. Students are charged with the responsibility of making phone calls to maintain the integrity of our data, share updates about the University as well as fundraise for the Chapman Fund.

Who receives a call from the Panther Line?
The Panther Line contacts alumni, parents and friends of Chapman University.

Where is the Panther Line Call Center?
Just 4 blocks from the main campus in Orange, the Panther Line Call Center is located in the University Advancement Offices on Palm Lane.

When should I expect a call?
The Panther Line hosts phonathons during the Fall and Spring semesters. Calling shifts are Mondays-Thursdays from 6-9 p.m., and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. 

Why don't you call during the daytime?
In order to accommodate the daytime class schedules of our student callers as well as work schedules for our constituents, the students call on weeknights and Sundays.

What is the Chapman Fund?
Donations to the Chapman Fund provide unrestricted funding which goes toward student scholarships and the areas of greatest need on campus from year to year. Since the University’s priorities and needs are constantly changing, unrestricted funding allows Chapman the greatest flexibility and opportunity to make a difference for the students immediately.

How does a donation from alumni help raise the value of a Chapman degree?
Part of the criteria used in evaluating Chapman for the U.S. News and World Report rankings is alumni participation. Therefore, the more alumni who support the university, the greater chance Chapman has of moving up in the rankings and receiving the recognition we know this world-class education deserves.
