Your First Courses

Your academic experience begins with FFC 100: Foundations of Western Thought, a course all first-year students take their first semester. Let FFC faculty and students take you through some course topics, readings, and projects, including student-made videos, newsletters, and slide presentations.

The link to the Leatherby Libraries gives you access to collections, search mechanisms, and tutorials. Leatherby Libraries is a student-centered, active learning place that offers reading alcoves, shared study spaces, and media screening rooms. This is a great site to use as you read and research this year’s common orientation reading, Sherman Alexie's Flight.
