This program provides fellowships to students of superior academic ability - selected on the basis of demonstrated achievement, financial need, and exceptional promise - to undertake study at the doctoral and Master of Fine Arts level in selected fields of arts, humanities, and social sciences. |

Eligibility: |
|
Applicants must be eligible to begin their graduate program in the fall following the date of the application submission or not have completed their first full year of graduate study. The program must be for a doctoral degree (or a master's degree in those fields in which the master's degree is the highest degree awarded) in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Additional requirements include the eligibility for grant, loan, or work assistance under the Higher Education Act and the intent to pursue a doctoral or master's degree in an approved field. Applicants must be citizens, nationals, or permanent residents of the United States. A GRE score must be included in the application packet. |
