Barry M. Goldwater Scholarships

Description:

The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program was established by Congress in 1986. The purpose of the foundation is to provide a continuing source of highly qualified scientists, mathematicians, and engineers by awarding scholarships to college students who intend to pursue careers in these fields. Recipients receive funding toward the completion of their undergraduate education.

Eligibility:

Eligible applicants are sophomores and juniors with outstanding potential who plan to pursue a career in mathematics, natural sciences, or engineering. An exceptional G.P.A. is required for consideration.

Award:

Funding includes a maximum of $7,500 per year for tuition, fees, books, and room and board.  Sophomore recipients are eligible for a maximum of two years of support, while junior recipients are eligible for a maximum of one year.
