Exploring and selecting the right college for you can be both an exciting and stressful time. There's careful research required to identify schools that reflect your particular interests, learning styles, family considerations and more. Applications need to be completed in a thoughtful and timely manner, tests need to be taken and letters of recommendation need to be acquired and submitted.
So what happens with all of that stuff?
First, it’s important to know that during the admission process, your application materials will touch the hands of several committee members, all of whom bring unique perspectives and come from different backgrounds. We are certainly not a panel of tweed blazers, smoking pipes, and horn-rimmed glasses, but individuals who at some point were in the same position as you (anxious and excited about taking those next steps)! What we also all have in common is an understanding of what Chapman University represents and what it can offer.
Expect the Admission Committee to comb through all of your materials, cover to cover. Seriously, cover to cover! We appreciate the time and energy that you're going to put into your application and we want to get know YOU. To be a Panther means you have access to a vibrant student life, intriguing lecture series, hands-on internships, as well as a community that is supportive, creative and fun. We’re looking for students who will take advantage of our resources, who are passionate about challenging themselves, curious about the greater world, and enthusiastic about bringing their talents to share with our community. The more of yourself that you pour into your application, the better. So don't be shy or hesitant to dig deep and really ask yourself, "Who am I and what will I bring to Chapman?"
We will be asking the same question.
