Configuring Internet Explorer to use a Chapman Proxy Server

Launch Internet Explorer and choose "Internet Options " from the "View" Menu
You will see a dialog box like the one on the right.

Click on the  "Connections" tab.

The "Connection" dialog box will  be displayed.
Check the boxes next to "Access the Internet using a proxy server" and "Bypass proxy server for local (Intranet) addresses"

Then click the "Advanced" button.

You will see a dialog box like the one on the right.
 
If you are connecting from an external Internet Service Provider such as Earthlink:
Type "proxy.chapman.edu" in the text box on the HTTP: line.
If you are connecting from a computer inside the chapman.edu domain  (e.g., on campus, dial-up through Chpaman, or an Academic Center)
Type "proxy2.chapman.edu" in the text box on the HTTP: line

Type "3128" in the "Port" field.

Type "chapman.edu" in the "Exceptions" box at the bottom.

Click "OK" to close the "Proxy Settings" Dialog box, and click "OK" again to close the "Internet Options" dialog box.

You will now be able to use a Chapman Proxy server.
