The Cabinet is a group made up of nineteen students appointed by the Executive Council to work collaboratively as a team planning a variety of events for students— from comedians, to concerts, to speakers. They also represent students in various administrative roles within academic affairs and student life.

House of Representatives

The House of Representatives is the central hub of the diverse group of clubs and organizations on campus.  It is our vision for this coming year to create the most fulfilling and efficient House to allow the clubs and organizations to shape our campus. Furthermore, building upon that vision, as the efficiency increases House will become a much more viable organization than in the past by utilizing the constitutional powers to the fullest.

There is just as much learned outside of the classroom as there is in the classroom at Chapman. My goals as Vice President for House is to allow this education to be promoted as much as possible.

House Sessions are held every Tuesday, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM, in Argyros Forum 208.

Senate

Senate is the primary legislative body of the Associated Students at Chapman University. Made of 12 elected students, Senate serves to create and approve legislation that affects the student body at-large. Senators are responsible for respresenting student opinion on various issues that affect student life at Chapman. They serve on various committees with faculty, staff, and administrators that preside over issues in academic life, student life, administration, and finance at the University.

In the past, Senators have served on committees that focused on important issues such like parking, academic integrity, restaurant services, the bookstore, and others. Senators also provided several outreach programs to obtain valuable student opinion, which was voiced in the decision to bring a new smoothie company to campus, and also helped to amend the construction plans for the grass area between Beckman Hall and the Leatherby Libraries.

As Chapman continues to grow, the need for a strong student representation is ever more important.  Meetings are open to all students and students are encouraged to attend meetings or contact Senators with comments or concerns.

Senate Meetings are held every Tuesday, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM, in Argyros Forum 201.
