Mission Statement for The George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics

ASBE student studying in the Leatherby Library

The George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics develops business leaders who create value for their organizations by blending the capacity for sound economic reasoning and a global perspective with the qualities of individual initiative, accountability, effective communication, and integrity.  The Argyros School distinguishes itself by providing students and alumni with unmatched access to exceptional teachers and scholars, and a network of top executives in one of the nation’s most dynamic business communities.

The Argyros School strives to be an extraordinary source of knowledge creation and dissemination, with teaching and scholarship both being highly valued.  Faculty research activities enrich the classroom experience for our students.  Faculty members are primarily engaged in discipline based scholarship and secondarily in research contributing to practice and pedagogy.

The Argyros School emphasizes reality-based education that includes practical experiences and influential business relationships.  Pragmatic skills are developed through curricular and co-curricular opportunities such as field study projects, internships, internal and external competitions, student organizations, international experiences, and exposure to distinguished speakers.
