Founded: Chapman University was founded in 1861.

Campus: About 50 acres, located in the heart of Old Towne Orange, Calif.

Nearby cities: Chapman is located 35 miles southeast of Los Angeles and 90 miles from San Diego and Mexico.

Business degrees: BS in Accounting, BS in Business Administration, BA in Economics, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA).

AACSB-Accredited: AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business accreditation is granted to schools that stress academic excellence and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • As of April, 2007, 549 member institutions hold AACSB business accreditation.

The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Business and Technology Hall: Opened in 1999 as the home for the Argyros School of Business and Economics, the building is equipped with several Macintosh and PC-based computer labs.

Research Centers: The Argyros School of Business and Economics houses the Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics, the A. Gary Anderson Center for Economic Research,  The Walter Schmid Center for International Business and the C. Larry Hoag Center for Real Estate and Finance.

Faculty: 92 percent of Argyros School of Business and Economics professors hold terminal degrees, the highest available in their fields.
