How to get started?
Undergraduate Applicant: If you are an undergraduate applying for admission to the Chapman University Argyros School of Business and Economics, submit a regular application online or by mail.
Graduate Applicant: Prospective graduate students interested in the MBA or Executive MBA programs can apply online or download a printable application.
Some hints for graduate students:
- The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is required for the MBA program and is highly recommended, but not required for the EMBA program. Chapman’s Codes are:
- Executive MBA: P8N-WC-07
- MBA, Part Time: P8N-WC-22
- MBA, Full Time: P8N-WC-61
- You will need two recommendations from people who have worked with you closely and know your work.
- We prefer to admit students with at least two years professional work experience for our graduate business programs.
Admission InformationAdmission to the graduate programs at The Argyros School at Chapman is competitive. Applicants are evaluated on academic performance, leadership potential, work experience, and communication skills. Admission to the program may be achieved by the completion of the following requirements:
- Submit the application for admission.
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Achieve an acceptable score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
- Submit two letters of recommendation
- Foreign applicants who have completed their undergraduate degree outside of the United States may be required to achieve an acceptable score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
- Complete a personal interview with the Assistant Dean for Graduate and Executive Programs. For the MBA program, interviews are by invitation only. All EMBA applicants are required to interview.
Applications for admission to the MBA program are accepted for enrollment in the fall and spring semesters. Applications for the EMBA program are accepted for enrollment in the fall semester only.
Admission Deadlines
The Graduate Admissions Committee attempts to make admissions decisions as completed applications are received; therefore, applicants are encouraged to apply early.
For full consideration, please apply by the following deadlines:
Fall Semester (MBA, EMBA) May 1 (priority deadline) July 1 (preferred deadline)
Spring Semester (MBA only) October 15 (priority deadline) December 1 (preferred deadline)
Tuition Information
For students matriculating during the 2005-06 academic year:
MBA: $725/unit for students enrolling Spring 2007. 52 units required to graduate. $770/unit for students enrolling Fall 2007. 52 units required to graduate.
EMBA: $61,250 to complete 21-month program. Price includes tuition, laptop computer (with software), lodging and food for three residential, pre-class meals, books, registration fees and parking.
International StudentsThe International Students Services office acts as a source of information and assistance with the goal of making the international experience a comfortable and productive one. The office sponsors an orientation program, counseling on academic, financial and personal matters, assistance in class registration, information on immigration requirements, and information on social and cultural events.
