U.S. Constitution Test

A score of pass on the U.S. Constitution Test satisfies the U.S. Constitution requirement for the California Teaching Credential Program. This test is offered through the Center for Academic Success at Chapman University, which is located in Demille Hall 130. The cost of the test is $20. To sign up for a test time, call (714) 997-6828.

The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions and a score of 38 correct answers is required to pass.

Questions require very specific knowledge of the constitution, so it is important to know the various parts of the constitution thoroughly.

Note that you must wait three weeks before re-taking the exam.

Both of the above sites recommend the text, Twenty-Five Lessons in Citizenship by D. L. Hennessey, available through local bookstores and libraries. They recommend that you read and understand this text before taking the exam.
