Our Difference

Chapman’s Children’s Center is a department of Chapman University, operating in affiliation with The First United Methodist Church of Orange, which makes us a unique organization. Because we are affiliated with Chapman University, our standards are set high. We are able to draw from campus resources, and often utilize the talents and skills of the University students.

We currently have the opportunity, through a Federal Work Study Program, to employ University students to develop and implement auxiliary programs for your child. These programs might include: Computer Skills, Health and Nutrition, Large Motor Activities, and even Spanish!

Here, at Chapman University Children’s Center, our Lead Teachers are more than qualified! The state of California mandates that a fully qualified teacher must have a minimum of 12 college level units in Early Childhood Education. However, our Lead Teachers all hold at least an AA in Early Childhood Education; some possess a Bachelors Degree.
