Biography

Paul Lu has over 40 years of experience in the aviation industry working in the global arena. Paul’s last industry position before joining Chapman was Director Advanced Aircraft Programs at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. He also served a five-year term as Director Customer Support Asia and was stationed in Hong Kong where he established a customer support network in the region. Paul worked for the Mobil Oil Corporation in the 1990s and served a four-year term in Kazakhstan where he established and managed a Flight Operations team supporting a multi-national seismic operation. Prior to joining Mobil Oil, Paul worked at Citibank and supported a fleet of corporate jets and traveled extensively in North America, South America, Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Asia.

Paul developed a passion for teaching nearly twenty years ago and started teaching as an adjunct at Chapman University in 2007. He brings his extensive practical work experiences into the classroom and shares many stories, lessons learned and knowledge as a way to reinforce management theories, frameworks and models. He enjoys teaching Operations Management, Information Systems and Global Management.

Paul holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. His area of research is in Relationship Marketing and Project Management. Lu also holds a Master of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Theology degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Ministry program at Fuller.
