Adrian Maher has written, produced and directed more than 70 hours of television documentary programs such as Codes (a story about cryptography and math with extremely challenging visuals), Lockup (taking a "behind the scenes" look at some of America's worst prisons) and Human Weapon (exploring Russia’s mixed-martial arts) among others. He has traveled to more than 30 countries, many during production assignments. He also worked for years as an investigative reporter for the Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, and the L.A. Weekly. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in English literature and from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism with a master's degree with honors in journalism.
