Undergraduate Student On-Campus Housing

First Year Students
First year students living on-campus will be assigned to Pralle-Sodaro, Henley, Morlan and Glass Residence Halls. Residence hall assignments are be based upon academic program, while individual roommate assignments will be based upon the living preference questions answered in the online housing application. Assignments based on academic programs assist first year students in forging connections with their peers, faculty and the University. Fenestra Living-Learning Communities help encourage students to engage in interdisciplinary, university-level critical inquiry and reflection. 91% of first year students live on campus.

Transfer Students
Transfer student assignments are not guaranteed, and will be determined on a space-availability basis. Transfer students living on campus will be assigned to a transfer community or with current students in returning student buildings. Transfer students are strongly encouraged to apply for on-campus housing; however, students who are interested in pursuing off campus housing options may visit our website at chapman.edu/studentlife/reslife.

Off-Campus Housing

As Chapman University continues to grow, expand, and enjoy a more geographically diverse student body, the demand for on-campus housing is unprecedented.

In order to ensure students are able to access resources to enable them to move into the Chapman neighborhood, we have dedicated positions to serve the Off-Campus housing community. To find out more, visit Off-Campus Housing Listings. You can also visit the Roommate Corner on Facebook where Chapman students who are looking for roommates post their rooms for rent.

The International Student & Scholar Services also keeps a list of rooms for rent. You can contact Susan Sams if you are interested.
