» VP of Campus Planning and Operations Kris Eric Olsen

Kris Eric Olsen is Vice President of Campus Planning & Operations at Chapman University.  His career spans over three decades of design, development, construction and property management experience — employers and clients include Disney Imagineering, Marriott Corporation and the InterContinental Hotels Group. 

Since joining the university in 2001, Kris has orchestrated more than 100 major building and renovation projects, including the restoration/adaptive reuse of many significant historic structures These major projects comprise over three million square-feet of new construction projects that include The Leatherby Libraries, The Fish Interfaith Center and the Dodge College Marion Knott Studios.

Recently he oversaw the development of Chapman’s Hilbert Museum of California Art, the establishment of the Rinker Health Science Campus and The Musco Center for the Arts.  He recently managed the construction of the university’s new 290,000 square-foot Keck Center for Science & Technology.  In addition to his Campus Planning responsibilities, Facilities Management (which includes the Office of Property Management and University Services) reports to him.
