  • SECS is an educational program presented from a public health perspective and is also available for presentation. This program provides information regarding sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS. One of the program goals is to assist students in making educated choices by providing accurate information about risks, consequences and prevention in relation to this timely and important topic.
  • 'It's All About Alcohol' is an interactive power point presentation that Dani Smith will present to your class, workshop, group meeting or staff development session. It is a very entertaining and thought provoking program that includes information related to a number of alcohol related issues including:

    • Driving under the influence
    • Alcohol poisoning
    • Rape, sexual assault and alcohol
    • 'Do I have a problem?'
    • Friends who drink
    • Prevention and resource tips
    • Other high risk behaviors

This program was designed utilizing student input and consists of a series of interactive questions that are presented for discussion. The information is relevant for students, staff and faculty. Consequences regarding the law, tips and pointers regarding alcohol use are also included in the program.

The presentation is suitable for the classroom, workshops, in-service trainings and meetings and although it does focus on a college population, the information is also relevant for staff and faculty members.

 

Clothesline Project • Campus Advocacy Sexual Assault/Rape Prevention Educational Programming

  • C.A.R.E.S. stands for Creating a Rape-Free Environment for Students and is comprised of student volunteers and the Director of PEER and Health Education. The primary focus of C.A.R.E.S. is to educate and empower students regarding issues surrounding rape and sexual assault.
