Kelly Graydon is an assistant professor in the NASP-approved graduate program in school psychology. She is excited to be joining the faculty of the College of Educational Studies in 2007. Previously, she has been a course instructor at California State University, San Marcos, Palomar College, and the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her background is in counseling, clinical, and school psychology. Dr. Graydon's professional experience includes working as a school psychologist in the School-Based Behavioral Health program on the island of Kauai. Her additional experience in school psychology includes a wide variety of school settings, ranging from infant programs to alternative secondary school programs.
Dr. Graydon received her B.S. in Psychology from John Muir College at the University of California, San Diego, and her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She earned her doctorate in Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2007. Dr. Graydon's scholarly work has focused on grade retention, program evaluation, best practices in alternative education settings, delinquency, recidivism of juvenile offenders, strength-based assessment, culturally competent practice, and the international practice of school psychology.
