William Bragg has joined the faculty of Chapman University as Assistant Professor in the College of Educational Studies after spending the last nine years as superintendent of the Cupertino Union School District. He has a doctorate in leadership and human behavior and has 37 years of experience as a classroom teacher, elementary school principal, assistant superintendent of human resources, deputy superintendent of instruction, as well as superintendent. In Cupertino he systematically developed a non-linear design model for building district wide leadership capacity. School based leadership teams served as a foundation for coordinating school wide efforts in instructional improvement based on a district wide strategic plan. He has written and presented extensively in the areas of Building Leadership Capacity, Strategic Planning, and Organizational Change.
