Pam Gibbons has been the Head Athletic Trainer at Chapman University since 1998. In addition to her responsibilities to the athletic department, she serves as a part time faculty member and approved clinical instructor for the athletic training education program (ATEP). 

Born and raised in Orange Country, Pam attended Orange High School before beginning her athletic training career in 1984 as a student-athlete at Santa Ana College where she was an All-American swimmer. Pam continued her internship at SAC while obtaining her bachelor's degree in physical education and athletic training from California State University, Fullerton. In 1988 she left her position at SAC to become the Head Athletic Trainer at Los Alamitos High School. While at Los Alamitos, Pam had the opportunity to work with the Orange County All Star Football, North Team. 

Pam graduated from CSUF in 1989 and passed the Board of Certification, Inc. exam that same year. She left Los Alamitos in 1991 to become the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Chapman University.

In January 2001 Pam completed her master's degree in education administration from Chapman University. Pam has served the BOC, Inc. as a test site administrator from 1995 to 2007 and as a member of the exam development committee from 1996 to 2007, at which time the certification exam transitioned to computer based testing. Currently, she serves as a BOC exam question writer/validator and mentor.

Pam resides in Orange with her daughter Savana.
