» Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programming

Throughout the year, our students and staff host a variety of events that focus on educating residents on a variety of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) topics. Please check out our programs below!

Celebration of Women: Intersectional Storytelling and Uplifting Voices - March 2021

Our producer team, comprised of students and staff members, invite you to view our inaugural event, a curated digital playlist with submissions from chapman students. View the digital showcase here: Celebration of Women: Intersectional Storytelling & Uplifting Voices Digital Playlist”

Additionally, we created a scholarship/book-stipend catered towards BIPOC/LGBTQIA+ Chapman students. If you are able to support this scholarship, it would be greatly appreciated.

While, annually, the month of March is dedicated to Women's appreciation and empowerment, 31 days do not restrict the uplifting of intersectional voices. We appreciate your support!

If you have difficulty accessing the virtual gallery, or are using a mobile device, please view the gallery through our google drive folders.

Anti-Racist Programming

Our department is committed to:

  • listening with the intent to understand and learn
  • showing up in support of the fight against racial injustice
  • frequently educating our professional staff and student staff on how to reflect on our own privilege, be anti-racist, and how to be an ally and advocate
  • dismantling systems that discriminate against people of color.⁣

To that end, our department staff have frequently shared information and resources on the RLFYE Instagram account as virtual programs. Please review and reflect on the content of our posts:
