» Move-Out Tips

Chapman is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint and becoming a more sustainable campus. Student move-out season tends to create an abundance of waste that could otherwise be donated or properly recycled. The Sustainability Department is aiming to adapt the way Chapman move-out works and provide students with helpful resources.

On Campus Students

In order to increase donations there will be various donation bins throughout campus housing. Chapman will also be adding donation options such as non-perishable foods and school supplies. In addition to increasing donation bins there will also be a new recycling program in place. Chapman will now be collecting old or unused electronic devices and providing assistance to students that need to get rid of larger items like furniture.

Off Campus Students

Moving out of a house off campus comes with its own unique set of challenges and Chapman wants to make sure those students have resources to assist them during that transition.
