Advice from Colleen:
Understand that all portions of the admission process serve an important purpose - from campus tours to your application essays. Take time to truly explore your options, and thoroughly express yourself throughout your application. The more thought you put into the plans you have for your future, and the more you delve into the details of your plans, the more we as an admission team can get to know you as an individual!
Favorite spot on campus:
The view of Memorial Hall from the end of the lawn is so breathtaking - there’s something about the beauty of the buildings surrounded by flowers and palm trees that really captures how special the Chapman campus is.
Best admission memory:
During my senior year, I was asked to speak at an open house for over 3,000 admitted students and their families. I accepted the offer, originally as a chance to overcome a fear of public speaking, but through the process I realized what a great opportunity it was to reflect on the experiences that had been most shaping of my 4 years as a student. It was so special to be able to share what I loved about my experience with students who still had their college years ahead of them, and I am so thankful that I continue to have that opportunity in my career!
