Mentoring – Developing Human Potential
July 8, 2009
Training is probably the most familiar method used to develop human potential. However, it isn’t always the most effective way for employees to learn skills and build their careers or for organizations to prepare for succession. While many organizations also rely on mentoring, it usually happens sporadically or ad-hoc. To best capitalize on the knowledge, experience and skills of your employees, mentoring requires a focused approach and systematic application.
In this interactive session, we will join published author Susan Gerke and learn:
- The value of mentoring – to the organization as well as the mentor and mentee
- The importance of executive buy-in
- The ingredients of successful mentoring relationships
- How to structure and support an effective mentoring process
Participants will leave the session with a clear picture of what is needed to get a mentoring program started in their organization or improve the effectiveness of an existing program.
