Performance Managment: Developing People Through Work
High performance is the responsibility of every manager in conjunction with every employee. Performance management helps managers and their direct reports work together to set performance objectives based on the organization’s strategies and operating goals. They then track performance and identify developmental opportunities, plus celebrate work outcomes. Performance management is also changing as the new generation heads into the workforce. Generational differences can effect performance management, for success or disaster.
Employees and employers benefit from performance management as:
- Every employee has a clear picture of how he/she fits into the organization’s business results
- Every employee has a plan for development and improvement
- Employee potential and performance is maximized
- The work environment challenges the employee and is more satisfying, improving retention
- Desired business results are achieved Participants will discuss a case study of change, have the opportunity to share best practices, and leave with practical change management tools that can be applied immediately.
As a result of this interactive seminar, participants will be able to:
- Link the performance management process to their typical work environment
- Apply the organizational, managerial and employee drivers that build high performance
- Link generational needs for performance management to your workforce
