+ - Alona Cortese Elder Law Center

The Elder Law Center provides free legal services to low-income seniors throughout Orange County. Students work closely with our clinical faculty to help clients with numerous legal issues including claims of elder abuse, will drafting, advance health care directives, representation at administrative hearings, Medicare and Social Security matters, guardianships and conservatorships. The clinic also provides guidance about clients' rights as consumers and how to avoid financial abuse. Support Now »

+ - Bette and Wylie Aitken Family Protection Clinic

The Aitken Family Protection Clinic offers free assistance in immigration, human trafficking, and protection order matters for clients who meet income eligibility requirements. Located in the Orange County Family Justice Center, the clinic provides a central location for all our clients' needs, with access to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, the Anaheim City Attorney’s Office, advocacy groups and several units of the Anaheim Police Department. Our students work closely with our clinic faculty to interview and counsel clients, plan cases, prepare for trial, and occasionally participate in a trial proceeding. Support Now »

+ - Constitutional Jurisprudence Clinic

The Constitutional Jurisprudence Clinic teaches students about the original understanding of the Constitution and how to put that understanding in practice by crafting arguments to federal appellate courts and the United States Supreme Court. The clinic recently expanded to offer more trial-level litigation opportunities to our students. + - M. Katherine Baird Darmer Memorial Scholarship Fund

Professor M. Katherine Baird Darmer was a beloved teacher and colleague at the Fowler School of Law, where she was a faculty member from 2000 through 2012. She was a passionate advocate for marriage equality and a vigorous opponent of discrimination based on gender or orientation. Professor Darmer died on February 17, 2012. Funds from the M. Katherine Baird Darmer Memorial Scholarship Fund will be given to students committed to using their law degree to promote human rights, public interest law or gender equality. Support Now »
