Dean Camille Heenan is from the Washington D.C. area and began her legal career as a civil litigation associate at two DC area law firms. She later served as an Attorney-Advisor for the U.S. Department of Justice, developing policies for the treatment of victims of federal crime and training Assistant U.S. Attorneys on their legal responsibilities to crime victims. After she moved to Orange County in 2012, she served as the Director for Student and Alumni Relations and later as the Associate Director of Career Development at Whittier Law School. She also worked in the Career Development Office at the University of California, Irvine School of Law. She was most recently Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at Fowler School of Law and was also Director of Career Services at Fowler School of Law in 2022. She received her B.S. from Virginia Tech and her J.D. from William and Mary Law School.

Kristen Spada O’Brien was born and raised in Southern California, graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Business Economics, and earned her J.D. from UCLA Law. At UCLA Law, Kristen was a Writing Advisor in the Lawyering Skills Clinical Program, working for the program’s director. Kristen also volunteered in UCLA Law’s El Centro Legal Clinics for three years in the Landlord-Tenant Clinic with the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles in Santa Monica. Throughout her career, Kristen practiced at national, mid-size, and boutique law firms defending Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and individuals in practice areas, including employment litigation, commercial litigation, OSHA compliance, white collar criminal defense, and government investigations. Kristen also worked as a volunteer law clerk with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office while at UCLA Law. Kristen serves as 2024 President of the Orange County Area Legal Recruitment Association (OCALRA). She is actively involved in the Orange County Bar Association, including serving on the Editorial Advisory Committee for the Orange County Lawyer Magazine and serving as a committee member on the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.

Before joining the Career Services Office, Christine Caldwell represented children, non-minor dependents, and parents in the juvenile dependency court as a staff attorney with the Children’s Law Center of California. She is designated a Certified Child Welfare Law Specialist by the National Association of Counsel for Children. She also represented children in high-conflict custody cases in family and probate court and practiced as a mediator in family law and juvenile dependency cases. Christine earned a Certificate in Alternate Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law and a Juris Doctor from UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings College of the Law). She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior from UCI, graduating cum laude, and is a member of the California State Bar.

Rebecca Rogers attended Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law and graduated in May of 2023. At Chapman, Rebecca served as the co-president of the Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF), vice president of the Asian Pacific American Law School Association, and treasurer of the Criminal Law Society. She was also an active board member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, a student director for the 1L Sibling Program, and a Chapman Admissions volunteer. Rebecca was also an academic fellow for Property I and Criminal Law and a research assistant for Professor James Phillips. Rebecca obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Washington in Seattle. During her time at the University of Washington, Rebecca worked as a research assistant to various professors and a teaching assistant for classes such as Psychology Research Methods and Human Physiology. Prior to joining the Career Services Office, Rebecca was an associate attorney at a boutique law firm in Orange County, where she advised insurance companies regarding coverage obligations under personal and commercial policies and represented insurance company clients in coverage-related litigation.
