We have three full-time counselors, Suzanna Adelizi, Jennifer Kim, and Laurie Ellen Park, available to help students in their job search efforts and career development. In addition, our Office assists employers with their recruitment needs and develops new job opportunities locally and abroad for students and alumni. The counselors’ legal experience stems from a variety of legal employment settings, including a large private firm, public interest organization, and criminal law practice. Our counselors are also very active in the legal community and continue to build invaluable relationships with alumni and employers. We are located in Kennedy Hall, Suite 303.

Suzanna Adelizi  
Suzanna Adelizi, Esq.
Assistant Dean of Career Services

Suzanna joined the Chapman Law administration in 2008. She graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Fullerton and is a 2005 graduate of Chapman University School of Law where she received the National Association of Women Lawyer's Outstanding Law Graduate Award. While studying at Chapman Law Suzanna was president of the Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) and was a contributing editor with the NeXus Journal. Before joining Chapman Law, Suzanna practiced criminal law as an associate in the law firm of Kenneth L. Schreiber.

Jennifer Kim  
Jennifer H. Kim, Esq.
Assistant Director of Career Services

Jennifer received a Regents Scholarship and graduated summa cum laude from UCLA in 1999 with a B.A. in Communication Studies and Sociology, and she received her J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law, UC Berkeley in 2003. As a student at Boalt Hall, Jennifer received the APALSA Public Interest Law Fellowship and the Equal Justice America Summer Fellowship, as well as served as Co-Senior Articles Editor of the Asian Law Journal. Before joining Chapman Law, Jennifer practiced transactional real estate law at Rutan & Tucker, LLP for close to six years. She is very active in the Orange County Korean American Bar Association (OC KABA).

laurie ellen park  
Laurie Ellen Park, Esq.
Assistant Director of Career Services

Laurie Ellen graduated cum laude from Villanova University in 2005 where she received her B.A. in Philosophy and English. She received the Connelly-Delouvrier scholarship to study at St. Catherine's College, Oxford University in 2004. Laurie Ellen received her J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 2008. Living in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, Laurie Ellen volunteered with a non-profit organization formed to provide monetary aid and business reorganization to New Orleans businesses devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Laurie Ellen practiced public agency and environmental litigation at a boutique water law firm, Kidman, Behrens, & Tague in Costa Mesa.

kate majewski  
Kate Majewski, Esq.
Law Alumni Counselor

Kate attended the University of Michigan Law School and, after graduation, practiced transactional corporate and securities law at the Chicago office of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP and at the Orange County office of Greenberg Traurig LLP. After six years of firm practice, Kate joined the in-house legal team at a small Irvine technology company prior to joining Chapman Law.

Kate is available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; weekend and evening appointments may be scheduled
upon request.

Recruitment Coordinator

Jeffrey received his BFA from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. As the Recruitment Coordinator, he helps run both Fall & Spring On-Campus Interviewing (OCI), Resume Collections, various on-campus job fairs, employer and networking events, and receptions. He also helps plan the Southern California Law School consortium events and oversees all internal job postings, as well as reciprocity requests. Jeffrey regularly tweets for the department. James Kerr  
James Kerr
Administrative Assistant

James joins the Career Services Office after having worked in the department as a student assistant for over two years. As the Administrative Assistant, James provides front desk support for law students, employers, and alumni, and assists with the CSO’s budgets and accounting, data and statistical reports, as well as the Post-Graduate Judicial Clerkship Program. He is currently working on his B.A. in Accounting at Chapman University’s Argyros School of Business & Economics. In his spare time, James enjoys snowboarding, music, and church activities.
