The Chapman Guitar Ensemble recently completed a tour of New Mexico that included a concert in Corralles (near Albuquerque) and participation in the Santa Fe Guitar Festival.
This ensemble, under the direction of Jeff Cogan, Associate Professor of Music, also played a concert in Northridge before embarking on the tour. Learn more about the guitar ensemble and the guitar program.

Sergei Babayan Concert Pianist
Chapman University Conservatory of Music proudly welcomes renowned concert pianist Sergei Babayan as visiting artist.
A recent piano recital by Mr. Babayan on March 25, 2008 was the inaugural event to celebrate his appointment as visiting artist for the 2008-09 academic year.

Linda Watson Soprano
The noted Wagnerian opera artist, Linda Watson, recently visited the conservatory of music and worked with Chapman singers.
She will soon return to Chapman in the Fall as her performances bring her back to the area. learn more...

Collin Martin won the first prize in the inaugural choral composition competition announced by the Choral Project based in San Jose, CA. The prize includes a monetary award, a premiere, and possible publication of the work, titled "A Song for the River" The premiere will be in June 2009. Congratulations to Collin! |
