Festival Date: Saturday, February 27th
Chapman University is pleased to announce the Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music's 2016 Honor Band Festival to be held on Saturday, February 27th. Students selected for the Honor Band Festival will participate in a day-long event, which will offer pre-professional training led by Southern California’s preeminent wind and brass faculty. Chapman University is delighted to offer a full scholarship to this event to successful applicants.
This will be an opportunity to learn some great wind literature, work with Chapman Conservatory of Music faculty including: members of the Pacific Symphony, Los Angeles Opera, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and A-list Hollywood Studio Players; and to meet other like-minded young musicians.
Out-of-area students must be accompanied by their director or an adult chaperone. Please make your own lunch and dinner arrangements. There are many dining opportunities within walking distance of the Chapman University campus. We invite you to enjoy a continental breakfast with Chapman faculty and students on the Oliphant Hall Patio prior to the morning’s rehearsal and snacks will be provided throughout the day. Please feel free to email Dr. Christopher Nicholas, or Priscilla Peraza/David Scott, Wind Symphony Librarians, with any other questions.
We look forward to welcoming you and your outstanding students!
