»Summer Camps & Programs for High School Students

Chapman offers several camps and programs for high school students over the summer. These camps can help you explore a subject you are interested in within a college environment. 

For all the programs below, visit the webpage to learn more details about dates, applying/registration, and costs. Questions about programs should be addressed to the department/organization running the program.

Summer Engineering Academy

Chapman's Fowler School of Engineering offers summer workshops in our state-of-the-art facilities. All students in or entering high school can participate.

Each workshop includes lunch and a project to take home. You can learn more, view all available offerings and register on their website.

 

Dance Camps

Chapman partners with renowned dance programs to offer summer intensives for aspiring and experienced dancers, from ages 12 to professional, in Chapman’s state-of-the-art dance facilities.

The Backhausdance Summer Intensive will take place July 7–24, 2026, and the Jacob’s Pillow 360 Intensives will be held July 31–August 2, 2026.

Music Camps

Our College of Performing Arts offers week-long, overnight summer camp options for those entering grades 9-12. You'll get to build new skills and learn what it's like to be a musician in college and professional settings.

Pharmacy Summer Research Program for High School Students

The Summer Research Program is carefully designed to give participants an edge when applying to college.

It provides hands-on experience in the pharmacy research arena while still in high school, with unique exposure to research methods, lab equipment and technology that real pharmaceutical scientists use.

Social Science Summer Pre-College Research Experience

In this social-science-focused research experience, you will engage in real research projects. Through these projects, you will develop skills in data analysis, critical thinking, academic writing, research poster development and public speaking.

The experience allows you to engage with current research practices in the social sciences in a professional setting.
