Tutoring
The TLT is dedicated to providing tutoring services in a wide range of subjects for any Chapman student interested in receiving help outside of class. Peer tutors are available in several general education subjects such as math and science, and higher level courses that pertain to the different areas of study we offer at Chapman. Receive tutoring by coming into our center in DeMille 130 and filling out a Request for Tutor form. Once a tutor is selected, they contact you to set up an appointment based on your availability. Group sessions will also be held during the evenings in the residence halls, just check the schedule for upcoming dates and locations. Tutors may not be available in every subject and are assigned on a "first come, first served" basis. The deadline to request a tutor for Interterm 2011 is Friday January 21st. All of our tutors are Chapman students who have excelled in particular subjects and have been recommended by their professors. The tutoring program has been successful and at a steady hight with rave reviews from the students. Tutoring services are absolutely FREE OF CHARGE to every Chapman student and can be obtained as easily as stopping by! If you are a Chapman student interested in receiving tutoring services or are interested in becoming a tutor, please contact us. |
