Lesson Plans Forging Freedom This lesson plan uses the text Forging Freedom: A True Story of Heroism during the Holocaust, by Hudson Talbott, to explore how choices individuals make can have great meaning, not only to themselves, but to those around them.
Forging Freedom: A True Story of Heroism during the Holocaust, the story of Jaap Penratt, a teenager in Amsterdam, captures the courageous actions of a young man who saved more than four hundred Jewish people. Penratt was recognized by Yad Vashem as one of the Righteous Among the Nations.
