BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS IN STUDIO ART
The BFA in Studio Art is designed for students who are interested in developing an individual creative voice and accumulating the technical and analytical skills necessary to become artists. It is geared towards preparing students for top-tier graduate programs in the visual arts. This degree has an extensive list of required courses to ensure that on graduation students have been exposed to the range of techniques and approaches that make up the field of contemporary art.
Students pursuing a BFA in Studio Art are required to mount both a junior and senior exhibition. Students work with a faculty committee to produce an individual, cohesive body of work for the exhibition, accompanied by an artist statement.
