Choosing Chapman was the best decision. The Design program immediately made me feel part of a creative, supportive community. Small class sizes allowed me to know my professors and classmates, and I always felt comfortable asking questions and reaching out for help. Working at the Ideation Lab, Chapman's student design studio, gave me hands-on experience, built my confidence, and prepared me for my career.

I chose Chapman for it's small, supportive campus community and the ability to balance athletics and academics. Courses like Advanced Sculpture, Art & Science, and Curatorial Practice not only deepened my skills but sparked lifelong passions. Study abroad experiences and field trips to LA galleries enriched my understanding of the contemporary art world. I also had incredible hands-on opportunities, including editorial internship at Juxtapoz magazine and a SURF research project on marine debris that led to curating an international art exhibition.

I chose Chapman’s Graphic Design program because it lets you start major courses in your first year, and the small class sizes create a supportive, personal learning environment. The professors are amazing, and you get to explore all areas of design—my favorite class being UI, UX and Interaction Design. I’ve had two on- campus design jobs and found so many hands-on opportunities to grow my skills. With 24/7 access to the labs and a variety of equipment to meet your creative needs, and close connections with peers and faculty, the program has helped me build my portfolio and confidence as a designer. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone pursuing design.
