Michael Hanson

With an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Art, Michael has worked closely with Hirsch Perlman, Miwon Kwon and Karl Haendel. His paintings have been exhibited at Gallery “C” in Redondo Beach and KAOS Gallery in Phoenix, AZ. His murals at Hollywood Sports, Bellflower and graffiti are in numerous movies, television shows and publications including While You Were Sleeping.  He is taught graphic design history, typography, color theory and drawing as a full-time faculty member at the trade colleges since 1994: The Art Institute of California-Orange County, Brooks College, Long Beach and Collins School of Design, Tempe, AZ.  He is currently working on essays about graphic design and short stories influenced by Samuel Beckett, Jacques Lacan and Giles Deleuze.
