Emily BillsEmily Bills, Ph.D., Institute of Fine Arts, NYU; architectural and urban historian, 1800 – present; research interests include telecommunications, global capitalism, and urban growth; critical theory; architecture and politics; women in architecture; and the built history of California and the West (particularly the history of architecture in Los Angeles). 2008-2009 Smithsonian Postdoctoral Scholar; ACLS and Graham Foundation award recipient. Emily has taught at New York University, The New School, Woodbury University, and the University of Southern California. |
